The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has waived the suspension of opening batsman Sharjeel Khan on Monday after the left-hander offered a public apology and committed to complete the mandatory rehabilitation process.
“I offer my unconditional apology to the Pakistan Cricket Board, my team-mates, fans and family for the irresponsible conduct that brought embarrassment to everyone. I request for forgiveness and assure I will show more responsibility in my future actions,” said Sharjeel.
Sharjeel would mainly deliver lectures to young cricketers during his rehabilitation program which would help them in abstaining from wrongdoings in their careers. The flamboyant batsman aims to get into club cricket after the completion of his rehabilitation program so that he does not rush himself to the national side after being away for almost 30 months.
