Making a memorable ODI debut by picking 5 wickets for 28 runs against India, Taskin Ahmed looked set to take forward Bangladesh’s pace battery. However, injuries and mediocre shows joined hands to throw him out of the frame.
Nevertheless, the talented pacer recently returned to the national setup as he toured India with Bangladesh A team. Moreover, delivering 73 overs in his last two four-day games, the 24-year old has given a good indication about his fitness.
Recently, Taskin spoke about his comeback as he was relished to get well after an injury which prolonged for 18 months or so. The Dhaka born now sits confident about playing regularly and performing consistently for Bangladesh.
“I am happy with my return to the national team. I was injured more than one and half year. I tried to make myself fit and I’m thankful that I was with the team in the last series. I didn’t get a chance to play, but if I stay fit and improve in every department then I see more opportunities coming my way,” said by Taskin as he is looking forward to make an impact.
