The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has constituted a three-member panel of independent experts to oversee the final selection of six cricket association sides which will participate in Pakistan’s forthcoming domestic season. This development is part of the PCB’s plan to revamp the existing domestic structure where such teams will replace the departmental sides.
The three experts chosen by the board include Misbah-ul-Haq, Rashid Latif and Nadeem Khan who will meet at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore soon and announce the six teams next week. The number of cricket associations previously used to figure at 16 and now has been significantly been brought down.
“The PCB has constituted a panel of highly respected cricketers to assess and review the balance, composition and strength of the six sides to ensure there remain no gaps,” PCB MD Wasim Khan spoke on the occasion.
