Williamson and Dananjaya reported for suspect action

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has been quite strict regarding chucking in recent times as a number of big names have been banned from bowling just because of an issue with their bowling actions.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has been reported for suspect action after the conclusion of first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle. The skipper only bowled 3 overs in the second innings, but the umpires found his action to be against the ICC regulations.

Moreover, Sri Lankan skipper Akila Dananjaya has also been reported for suspect action along with the opposition skipper. This is not the first time that the umpires have reported the action of Dananjaya as he has had issues with his bowling arm throughout his short career.

Both the players have been directed to take the bowling test at an ICC supervised biomechanics lab within the next 14 days, however, they could continue bowling in this time period.
