There has always been a trend of slight rifts and counter arguments between Indians and Pakistanis on social media. This trend has never diminished from Twitter as well.
Recently, Ahmer Najeeb, Team Cricingif’s member raised suspicion over Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling action and said that his action is not clean enough to be left un-noticed. Aakash Chopra, the veteran Indian journalist replied to his Tweet and said that he does not agree with him on this issue.
Aakash added that there is nothing wrong with Ashwin’s action. In the past, there have been a lot of talks about ICC leniency towards Indian off-spinners including Ravi Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh. ICC has never shown any suspicion over their bowling actions.
According to the rules of ICC, the bend of less than 15-degrees is allowed in the arm of an off-spinner. Anything exceeding this limit, is not tolerated as per rules. A lot of bowlers including Saeed Ajmal, Prosper Utseya, Sachithra Senanayake, Mohammad Hafeez, Akila Dananjaya and few others have faced a ban from ICC over the suspect bowling actions.
