Kent County Cricket Club’s batting line-up was demolished by the Essex’s opening bowlers Mohammad Amir and Samuel Cook in the 2nd Innings of the 3-Day County Championship Division One match. Kent was bowled out for just 40 runs in the 2nd Innings courtesy 7-fer from Samuel Cook and 2-fer from Amir.
The young Essex kid, Sam Cook took 12 wickets in the match whereas Mohammad Amir grabbed onto 6 magical scalps out of which 4 were bowled. Their hostile spell helped Essex to win the game by 3 wickets.
Amir also contributed with the bat for Essex in the 1st Innings where his score of 28 helped his team to climb up to the total of 114 runs. This is probably the last First-Class match for Amir as he has announced his retirement from the Test cricket earlier this month.
