The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to decide on the position of head coach and chief selector as it is currently conducting interviews for both the positions. A couple of names have been circulating in the media, but there has not been any confirmation from the board up till now.
Former Black Caps head coach Mike Hesson was also among the people who were said to be under consideration for the job, but he has refuted all such rumors. On his Twitter handle, Hesson said that he has not even applied for the job with the PCB.
He also said that the person who would become the head coach of Pakistan would have a lot of talent to work with and it would be a great opportunity for anyone who takes up the job. After the clarification by Hesson, Misbah-ul-Haq is said to be the most probable choice for both the positions as he has already been given responsibilities on interim basis.
