After losing at Edgbaston and drawing at Lord’s, England will enter the 3rd Ashes Test with a hope of levelling the series. There has been a lot of criticism on English batters, but head coach Trevor Bayliss believes that the team is equipped with ‘best seven batters’. However, he admitted that the batting order might need some tweaking.
The 56-year old is confident about his batting resources, but didn’t rule out the possibility of preparing a different batting order as compared to the first two games. Bayliss even went on to reveal that he wanted the fierce batsman Jason Roy to bat in middle order as his game is more suited to that position.
“We think we’ve got the best seven batters available to us at the moment. Whether we can change it around and make that any better, I’m not sure but we’ll certainly have a discussion about it. It’s something we have to look at,” Bayliss added while talking about preparations for the next three games.
