Rising batting sensation Rishabh Pant has had a topsy-turvy start to his ODI cricket career. The talented left-handed batsman was selected in India's lineup to resolve their woes at the No.4 slot but Pant has failed to exhibit the relevant cricketing nous to tackle the challenges of white-ball cricket.
The naturally aggressive batter has found it hard to curb his instincts and is often dismissed in silly fashion. Pant's issues of temperament at the crease have also caught the attention of Virender Sehwag, who advised the youngster to focus on mature shot selection to benefit his side.
“Pant has played well in the Test matches. He has to settle himself in the limited-overs game. He has to work on his shot-selection and then he will serve the country for long,” Sehwag said in an interview.
