Pakistan’s skillful all-rounder Imad Wasim has recently reflected on Pakistan’s captaincy debate as he added that leading his national team would be nothing less than an honor. Doing well in the World Cup played in England and Wales and performing consistently in recent past, the Wales born player has emerged as one of the strong candidates to become the 50-over skipper of the boys in green.
Imad shared his openness to lead the national team as he talked about his personality always being ready to counter tough challenges. However, the 30-year old added that it is up to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make this decision as Imad is totally focused on performing well as a player.
“As a young cricketer, I always wanted to play for Pakistan and if it comes to leading the side, it would be an honor. However, it’s the decision of PCB. My job is to play cricket and do well for my country and if given the opportunity to lead the team, I won’t back down from this challenge,” said by the white-ball specialist.
