In a positive development for Pakistan cricket fans, Sri Lanka is expected to tour Pakistan to play three ODIs and three T20Is. This series will mark the second instance of Sri Lanka touring the country after their team bus was attacked by terrorists in 2009.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SCL) President Shammi Silva commented that the forthcoming series is testimonial of the deep bond between his country’s board and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Reflecting upon the findings of the security delegation which recently visited Lahore and Karachi, Silva reported that they were confident about Pakistan’s security arrangements.
“The safety and security of its players is the responsibility of the SLC, which it takes very seriously. If there had been any doubts, the SLC would not have gone ahead with this arrangement that we envisage will improve the players’ confidence and trust level,” Silva said.
