The Indian cricket team has been on a roll in recent times as it has done remarkably well in all formats all around the world. The side has now started another overseas series with a victory by defeating the West Indies by 318 runs in Antigua Test.
Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has hailed praise on Virat Kohli’s captaincy, however, he still feels that he needs to be less emotional when it comes to team selection and persist with a set of players for some time.
“I would say that this is one area where Virat needs to just be a bit more consistent. Pick players and give them a bit more consistent opportunities - for them to get that confidence, rhythm, I have said that before. You saw how Shreyas Iyer played in that ODI series, you pick him, and you give him the freedom to play those matches and I think that needs to happen with a lot of players and I am sure Virat will do that,” he said.
