The news of Sri Lanka touring Pakistan for three ODIs and as many T20Is has delighted the fans to the core. Pakistan’s cricketers aren’t sitting as an exception as the tour would provide them a massive chance to enjoy the home support – a thing they’ve dearly missed in many International games since 2009.
Recently, Pakistan’s all-rounder Shadab Khan moved forward to share his sentiments on playing International cricket at home. The 20-year old cricketer was disappointed to see Pakistan losing the opportunity to host Tests, but believes that 6 white-ball games at his home soil provides a plethora of thrill. Moreover, he promised to give his best and make Pakistan proud in an anticipated series.
“It has been all pleasure for the Pakistan cricketers to play before our home crowd. Though the news (regarding Sri Lanka not playing Tests in Pakistan) is a bit disappointing, it is good that at least the shorter-version International games are being held in our country,” Shadab Khan said while reflecting on Sri Lanka’s upcoming tour to Pakistan.
