The marathon speculations of who will be India’s next head coach ended after the Cricket Advisory Committee handed the incumbent Ravi Shastri a contract extension till the end of the 2021 Twenty20 World Cup.
However, former Indian great Sourav Ganguly has revealed that he would like to take over as coach someday in the future. He has also expressed his excitement over the possibility of working with Virat Kohli.
“I am interested in being an India coach someday. It will feel great to work with Virat Kohli because he is a match-winner. He is a champion cricketer,” the 47-year-old said. Under his leadership, India achieved many famous victories not only at home but also overseas. He stated he would like to help Kohli and company achieve the same.
