Young Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has emphasized upon his intentions to cement his place in the team’s Test setup. Often deemed as a one-dimensional limited-overs cricketer, Shadab has been a constant presence in the Pakistan side for the past two years in the shorter forms of the game.
He addressed the need for improvement in his batting and bowling aspects in order to break into the Test squad on a regular basis. Shadab made his Test debut against West Indies in 2017 and played the last of his 5 games in the conventional five-day format earlier this year against South Africa.
“I have played a good number of white-ball matches and just five Tests. Therefore, I need to bring improvement in my bowling and batting to cement my place in Test cricket too, as a useful all-rounder,” Shadab told reporters in Lahore.
