It is no secret that Bangladesh’s senior cricketers have a major role to play in the resurgence of their unit. Performing strongly and consistently, the veteran players helped the country achieve memorable victories against some powerhouses of the cricketing world, thus registering a laudable reputation of the national team.
Recently, off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz reflected on the influence of these senior cricketers as he applauded their contributions and work ethics. Calling them inspiring figures for the new generation, the 21-year old added that Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal all worked really hard which made them the players they are today.
The Khulna born believes that he and other junior players like Soumya Sarkar, Mosaddek Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin have a lot to learn from the experienced campaigners. Moreover, Mehidy Hasan is extremely confident about his team’s chances in the one-off Test against Afghanistan as well as the T20I tri-series involving Zimbabwe and Afghanistan.
