Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman, Kamran Akmal sees former captain Misbah-ul-Haq as the perfect choice for the vacant head coach position. Misbah’s resignation from the PCB Cricket Committee has added fuel to the speculations of him becoming the next head coach of Pakistan.
Kamran believes that Pakistan cricket has deteriorated a lot and in these circumstances, new team management was necessary for Pakistan to keep moving forward. Speaking on Misbah, he said: “Which player is performing how well, and what kind of attitude and fitness he has — Misbah knows this very well.”
He further stated that Misbah had been playing domestic cricket till his final playing year and that has put him in a great position to become Pakistan’s new head coach. He criticized Pakistan’s performance under Mickey Arthur saying that the team did not achieve anything major except for the Champions Trophy.
