Australian spin legend Shane Warne and former England wicketkeeper Matt Prior have been embroiled in an ugly altercation on Twitter. The war of words follows England’s miraculous comeback win the Headingley Test where Ben Stokes racked up a remarkable century to seal a historic one-wicket win.
Warne furiously reacted to a tweet by Prior which poked fun at Aussie spinner Nathan Lyon, who spoiled a run-out chance in the dying moments of the game that proved to be too costly for the tourists. Prior’s trolling on Lyon was considered offensive by Warne who proceeded to bash the 37-year-old for his “silly and immature behavior”.
Moreover, Warne slammed former England cricket Chris Adams banishing him as a ‘club cricketer’. Warne’s meltdown on Twitter and his enmity with Prior soon went viral over the internet and caught the attention of fans.
