PCB to allow some players to participate in CPL

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently changed its policy regarding the provision of No Objections Certificate (NOC) to the players for overseas T20 leagues in order to manage their workload throughout the year.

Centrally contracted players are only given NOCs for two T20 leagues in a year while others are given permission keeping in mind their domestic commitments. The 7th edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is scheduled to be held in the coming weeks as Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR)   would commence their title defense with some new faces this year.

According to media reports, the PCB has granted NOC to all-rounder Shadab Khan and master blaster Asif Ali for the upcoming edition of CPL in which the former would represent Guyana Amazon Warriors while the latter would play for Barbados Tridents.

Moreover, Wahab Riaz is also expected to get the NOC in the next few days so that he could represent Barbados Tridents in the league. However, all the players have been instructed to return home after 12th September so that they could be available for the first-class season.
