The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have received a major setback after Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected the PCB’s newly passed constitution. As a result of this, the upcoming season of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy might get rescheduled.
The court issued the order to re-enforce the old constitution of 2014 according to which departmental cricket resumes its status. The members of the board of governors and officials of associations will resume their charge.
A new domestic structure consisting of just six regions was introduced in the constitution as a result of which departmental cricket was dissolved. Recently, PCB has decided to apply ‘no-toss’ rule for the matches in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, giving an advantage to the visiting team.
