India is a country known for producing amazing batting talents. It’s not like they haven’t produced great bowlers, the likes of Zaheer Khan, Javagal Srinath and Anil Kumble are considered as the benchmark for any young Indian bowler.
However, in the current scenario, the trend seems to be changing and the men in blue are continuously producing some breath-taking talents with the bowl.
The idea of this changing trend can be backed up by seeing the number of bowlers India have in the ICC rankings. India’s Jasprit Bumrah sits at no.7 in the ICC Test rankings for bowlers and he’s climbing the ladder quickly. But the interesting fact is that overall, India have 5 bowlers named in the top 25 bowlers in the rankings.
This tells you about the quality and team effort of the Virat Kohli led side. Besides Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin sit at 10 and 13th spot respectively. At 19th, Mohammad Shami is accompanied by another fellow paceman Ishant Sharma who sits at the 21st spot.
