Former Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat could make only sporadic appearances in international cricket but he racked up records in England’s domestic circuit playing for Sussex. Known for his ace fast bowling skills, Arafat enjoyed tremendous amounts of success in the shorter forms of the game.
As a tribute to his constant services to the county club, Sussex recently imprinted Arafat’s name onto the home ground’s turf. Arafat joins the legendary Imran Khan as the other Pakistani cricketer to have played for Sussex and honored by the club like this.
The 37-year-old tweeted for the occasion and expressed his happiness at the tribute. He also thanked all the fans for their unwavering support through thick and thin.
