Test specialist Azhar Ali recently claimed he could possibly consider a comeback to ODI cricket if the team needed his batting expertise.
Talking to the media in Lahore during the ongoing pre-season camp, Azhar said he probably does not see a future for himself in limited-overs cricket but things could change if the situation demanded.
"When I had announced my retirement, I did not see a future for me in limited-overs cricket. It would premature to say anything. The selection committee hasn't been formed yet. I have not even thought about it (un-retiring). But when I feel that the Pakistan team needs me, I would seriously think about it,” he said.
Azhar retired from ODIs last year in November after having represented Pakistan in the 50-over format in 53 games. He was part of the victorious Champions Trophy squad in 2017 but could not hold onto his spot in the team for long.
