Peter Trego, the right-handed batsman, is all set to leave Somerset County Cricket Club after the end of this County season. The club has made an official announcement that this is the last season of Trego with them.
The 38-year old made his first appearance for Somerset 2nd XI in 1997 at the age of just 16. He made his debut for Somerset in 2000 and against the West Indies A in 2002, he scored a career-best of 140 in a match that ended in an exciting tie. He also did well in the six National League matches that he played in during 2002.
Trego scored 389 runs in the Royal Londo Cup 2019 at an average of 35.36. His record in the T20s is not bad either. Peter failed to perform in the Specsavers County Championship Division One 2018 and he did not get a chance to play the first-class match for Somerset this year.
His team-mates applauded his services for the club and wished him best of luck for his upcoming life and cricket career.
