English all-rounder Ben Stokes has earned a huge number of fans ever since his return to the team as he has now matured as a professional who is not afraid to take responsibility for the team, be it a World Cup final or an Ashes Test.
The all-rounder recently created history at Headingley after winning the game for England in the most dramatic run chase in which he remained unbeaten on 135 with 1 wicket left by the end.
Former Aussie pacer Glenn McGrath has said that Stokes is a fearful player who could change the momentum of any game within minutes. He also went on to call him the best all-rounder in the world right now.
“He is a player every team in the world fears. Stokes is a brilliant batsman who can concentrate, build an innings and also be destructive when he needs to be, but he also runs in and bowls all day and is a fantastic fielder. He is easily the best all-rounder in the world and there are not too many who could have come close to doing what he did,” he said.
