Former Australian captain Steve Smith has been at the receiving end of Jofra Archer’s nasty bouncers in the ongoing Ashes as he also had to sit out the 3rd Test after suffering from multiple concussions during the 2nd game.
In a recent interview, Smith said that he was taken down the memory lane by that blow from Archer as the whole tragedy of Philip Hughes came up as soon as he was hit on the side of his head, the same place where the late batsman was hit.
“I had a few things running through my head, particularly due to where I got hit. A bit of past sort of came up, if you know what I mean from a few years ago. That was probably the first thing I thought about. But then I actually thought that I was okay,” said Smith.
