Pakistan's fast bowler Junaid Khan celebrates
This news has excited the left-arm quick Junaid Khan as he feels that Waqar was an excellent mentor during his last tenure and to see him return to the setup would be a massive news. Reflecting on Waqar’s overall coaching term, the 29-year old cricketer added that many people do not want to see him taking up this role. However, Junaid found him a great coach and backed Waqar’s candidature for bowling coach role.
The proficient pacer revealed that Waqar helped him even when he wasn’t associated to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as he wanted to see Junaid ameliorating his skills. While Junaid sits disappointed with his exclusion from the World Cup 2019 tournament, he is confident of making his way back to the national team.
