Disgraced Pakistan opener, Salman Butt has lashed out at the former head coach Mickey Arthur, stating that the South African trainer was unable to improve any aspect of the side during his three-year tenure.
“Tell me where the Pakistan team was when he came in and where had he left it? In Tests, we were number one but under him, we slid to number eight. In T20 we were good before him and we are good even today,” said Butt.
Butt stated that during his three years in charge, Pakistani batsmen had problems facing short pitch deliveries and Mickey was not able to rectify it. Moreover, he criticized the fitness and fielding regime claiming Pakistan was the worst in that aspect in the recent World Cup.
