Imam and Iftikhar lead stellar show in practice game

Pakistan’s top cricketers are currently engaged in the pre-season conditioning camp aimed at getting the players in practice ahead of the jam-packed international and domestic schedule. As part of the cricketing activities in the training camp, the players were divided into two teams captained by Azhar Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed respectively, to participate in a two-day match.

The first day of the practice game was lit up by enterprising tons from Imam-ul-Haq and Iftikhar Ahmed as Sarfaraz XI racked up a massive 355/7 in 90 overs. The two openers led a belligerent partnership destroying the opposition bowling attack with their exuberant strokes.

Iftikhar’s fiery display of batting saw him smash 104 off 133 balls while Imam also scored briskly and accumulated 100 in 147 deliveries before deciding to take a rest and give chances to other batters in the team. Meanwhile, Haris Sohail also made 69 runs showcasing his classy shots all around the park.
