Pakistan U19 pacer reveals his cricketing inspiration

The U19 cricket system is said to be one of the pillars of strength for top cricketing nations as it helps in nourishing the young talent from an early age at the international level. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has introduced a revamped domestic system in order to improve many levels of cricket in the country including U19 cricket.

The Pakistan U19 cricket team is all set to tour Sri Lanka in a few days’ time for the upcoming U19 Asia Cup. 17-year-old medium pacer Akhtar Shah is excited to take part in his first Asia Cup as he wants to do well for his team and make a mark.

Akhtar also revealed that he has been playing cricket ever since he saw Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest bowler in history, in the latter stages of his career. Sohail said that his interest in cricket developed after watching the speedster which prompted him to work hard and get into the U19 side.
