2nd concussion substitute in the last 3 weeks

The cricket world has seen the 2nd concussion substitute in the past 3 weeks. Firstly, it was Steve Smith, who was ruled out of the 2nd and 3rd Ashes Test after suffering from a bouncer blow. Marnus Labuschagne came in for him as a “Like for Like substitution”.

Now it is Darren Bravo who has to sit out due to concussion during the 2nd Test match of the series against India making way for Jermaine Blackwood as his replacement. The bowlers have been lethal to the batsmen as they are leaving no stone unturned to intimidate the batsmen in this ICC Test Championship.

Taking into consideration these two recent incidents, the batsmen should be more careful than ever. In a high voltage game, these injuries and blows are expected as the batsmen have to face the music against the top-quality bowlers.
