England is leaving no stone unturned in order to intimidate Australia’s in-form batsman, Steve Smith. The right handed-batsman was ruled out of 2nd and 3rd Ashes Test after he suffered from concussion in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test match.
Stuart Broad, England’s fast bowler warns Smith yet again as the both team heads to Manchester for the 4th Test encounter. He said that Test cricket is a brutal sport and these blows are part of it.
“It was a nasty hit wasn't it? First thing it is great Steve is ok and coming back into Test cricket. But Test cricket is a brutal sport, it is a sport that countries go hell for leather against each other.”, Broad said.
“That is the intensity Test cricket brings, it is theatre. Hopefully we can have a battle like that again. There will be a period in this game where those two (Jofra and Smith) come together again and touch wood I am on the pitch to view it.” Broad added.
England will take on Australia in the 4th Ashes Test at the Old Trafford, Manchester from the 4th September 2019. The series is levelled at 1-1 which will make the rest 2 matches of the series more exciting to watch.
