Rohail Nazir plays down Ind-Pak match hype

Pakistan’s Under-19 captain, Rohail Nazir has played down the hype surrounding the India-Pakistan match in the U-19 Asia Cup. The high-voltage clash between the arch-rivals will take place in Sri Lanka on September 7.

“The match against India is a normal match. We will devise our strategies according to the teams we face. As cricketers, we will focus on every match. For us every match is important. We will look at the tournament on a match-by-match basis. We will try to win even if we face Afghanistan, India or Kuwait,” Rohail said during a media talk in Karachi.

The captain said that the team is properly gelled and there is good chemistry within the team as they have been all playing together since last six months. He showed optimism that Pakistan will be able to achieve big results in the mega-event.

Talking about the conditions in Sri Lanka, where they last clinched on ODI series by a margin of 3-2 against the home side, Nazir said that they will try to adjust in the conditions as soon as possible.
