The Australian cricket team has found itself in a tricky situation after the 3rd Ashes Test against arch rivals, England, as they now have to win both remaining games to retain the Ashes otherwise they might lose or share the trophy.
Head coach Justin Langer has also expressed concerns regarding certain aspects of his team’s performance which he would want to improve in the coming games as he feels that the batsmen need to work on their craft to come good.
The coach was recently seen nicking the ball during Australia’s net session as fielders were trying to improve their slip catching. Interestingly, the former opening batsman was seen doing pushups as a punishment for himself whenever he missed a nick.
“If I don’t nick them, if I miss them which happens very rarely these days. I am a very very good nicker. I was as a player and I am now. But if I miss the nicks, I have got to do a few pushups, that’s all. If they miss them, they get a bit of spray from the coach. So, a bit of banter, a bit of humor,” he said.
