Indian middle-order batsman Hanuma Vihari has become a vital member of the Test team after playing some memorable innings for the team during recent overseas tours. The right-hander recently scored his maiden Test hundred against West Indies as he helped India to a convincing victory against West Indies.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been impressed with the way Vihari goes about his business at the crease as he uses his strong temperament to send a calming effect onto the dressing room that eventually helps in easing the pressure off the batsmen.
“Hanuma was the stand-out batsman in this game. According to the surface, it was a top-class innings from him. He is someone who is sure of his game and it shows. The dressing room feels calm when he's batting. That's a quality he possesses naturally,” he added.
