Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah recently became only the 3rd bowler from his country to take a Test hattrick as he dismantled the West Indian batting lineup in the 2nd Test match in Kingston.
Before Bumrah, only Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh had achieved the feat in the premium format. Irfan Pathan took the only hattrick of his Test career in 2006 when he dismissed star players like Salman Butt, Younis Khan, and Mohammad Yousif on three consecutive deliveries during the first over of the first innings of Karachi Test.
The former pacer recently reminisced on the past as he said that the hattrick against Pakistan is among the top 3 highlights of his career as it was a pretty special spell after having 2 tough games on flat pitches in Lahore and Faisalabad.
“As far as memories of my hat-trick are concerned, it will be in my top-3 moments as an India cricketer for sure. I remember we had flat pitches in the two Test matches before my hat-trick in Karachi. All the bowlers, including Shoaib Akhtar, were getting hammered,” he added.
