Ramiz Raja wants domestic cricket to be televised

Cricketer-turned-commentator, Ramiz Raja has hailed Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) new domestic structure but warned that it has to be implemented with great caution or it could also be corrupted like the previous system.

Ramiz asked that why there wasn’t enough media coverage for the domestic cricket like the PCB does for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He believes that media support is crucial for a successful domestic structure.

"There is no mention of television because this has to be run like you run a PSL team. You need to get money, advertisers and sponsors, into it. For that, how much TV coverage you will get and how it is streamed is also important," Ramiz said.

The 57-year-old believes that every four-day match and T20 should be televised because until matches are shown, PCB won't get sponsors and the system won't run on professional lines.
