Ishan Kishan is one of the rising batting talents of India. While his form took a dip against West Indies A, but he recorded a meaningful comeback in the ongoing encounters against South Africa A. Ishan being in plans of selectors isn’t a secret and this further adds pressure on him to become a consistent performer.
Recently, the 21-year old admitted dreaming about representing India in the international cricket. With him being a wicket-keeper batsman, the skillful player comes across as an opponent of Rishabh Pant. However, Ishan quickly reiterated that he has no plans to look too far ahead as this can allow him to lose his focus.
Sharing his views about a potential national call-up, the Bihar born added that he needs to be a lot better to become a permanent member of the men in blue. Playing 41 first-class matches, 59 List A games and 70 T20s, Ishan possesses an impressive record. Nevertheless, he is extremely confident about ameliorating his numbers to make his case stronger to play for India.
