Pakistan women’s cricket has gradually been on the rise in recent times with fruitful results in series against West Indies women and South Africa women. They will now be clashing against Bangladesh women, who will be touring the country next month.
Still a long way to gaining a dominant position in world cricket, Pakistan women cricket team’s senior player Javeria Khan has highlighted the need to significantly improve training facilities for female players. She suggested the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises to take the initiative and invest in women’s cricket so that it can climb on the pathway to imminent success.
She advised the top PSL teams to allow women cricketers to get training opportunities with international stars giving them a chance to learn and enhance their game. This idea, if implemented, could go on to do wonders to the state of Pakistan women’s cricket.
