India’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who became the first Indian to take a hat-trick in Test cricket, has lashed out at former Australian opener Adam Gilchrist for his tweet on his iconic hat-trick in the 2001 Test.
Gilchrist, who was Harbhajan’s second victim, replied to a fan’s post on Twitter depicting the clip of the 39-year-old’s hat-trick, ruing that there was no DRS in place at that time. Gilchrist’s response to the tweet did not go down well with Harbhajan, who came up with a long rant against him.
Harbhajan sarcastically asked Australian southpaw whether he actually thinks he could’ve survived after the first ball and slammed him by urging him to stop crying. However, Harbhajan’s ill-mannered response irked Indian fans who asked him to delete the tweet, which he did later.
