Pakistan cricket team skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has welcomed the newly appointed Pakistan’s head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq. Sarfaraz played under the leadership of Misbah when Pakistan soared to the No.1 Test ranking.
“We all witnessed great leadership of Misbah. I played Test cricket under his captaincy for three years and had a great time. He led the team strongly at crucial moments and we won some impossible matches during his tenure,” Sarfaraz said.
Misbah led Pakistan for an extended period of time, seeing tremendous levels of success while his trusted wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz consistently provided healthy contributions in his side’s victories. However, since Misbah’s retirement Pakistan’s performances in the longest format have taken a hit and they have lost 2 series in the UAE under Sarfaraz’s leadership.
