While Afghanistan and Bangladesh are currently busy playing a solitary Test match, multiple reports have emerged concerning the Test career of the all-rounder Mohammad Nabi. As per different sources, the veteran cricketer is set to hang his boots in Test cricket at the conclusion of the ongoing red-ball game.
Reason of Nabi’s retirement is still unknown. However, it is assumed that the 34-year old cricketer wants to stretch his white-ball career which prompted him to quit the longest format of the game.
Nabi is yet to break silence on the matter to make things official. The absence of a player like Nabi would pose a serious challenge for Afghanistan in future games as he offers immense value both with bat and ball.
While the Logar born has played 121 ODIs and 68 T20Is, it is only his 3rd Test. However, he has played a lot of first-class cricket. Needless to say, Nabi would look to give his best shot and help Afghanistan beat Bangladesh to end his Test career in a graceful manner.
