Match Tied (Royal Challengers Bangalore win one-over eliminator)
India crashed out of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament with a heart-breaking defeat in the semi-final against New Zealand. However, the forthcoming year will present an opportunity for them to go strong in the T20 World Cup and add another trophy to their cabinet.
One of India’s batting pillars Shikhar Dhawan was disappointed the way his journey ended in the competition. Following a solid start in the recently concluded 50-over World Cup, Dhawan injured his thumb and got ruled out of the championship. Nevertheless, he returned to the national team in the tour of West Indies.
Moreover, the 33-year old is currently channelizing his frustration to make use of it in next year’s T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Australia. Dhawan added that he is getting in good shape and frame of mind to do well in the 20-over competition. The aggressive batsman, having an experience of 53 T20I games, revealed that he is looking forward to the forthcoming tournament as he wants to score heaps of runs and help India win their second major 20-over title.
