Afghanistan has continued their good performance in the ongoing solitary Test match against Bangladesh. After losing three quick wickets in their first innings, senior batters Rahmat Shah and Asghar Afghan scored big to rescue the unit and then skipper Rashid Khan joined them with a stunning half-century.
Losing Asghar Afghan early on the second day, Afghanistan looked in a bit of trouble. However, the spin wizard had no plans to sit back as he took the aggressive route and scored his maiden Test fifty consuming only 61 balls. The 51-run knock saw Rashid scoring 2 fours and 3 sixes to propel Afghanistan to a decent score of 342.
The party didn’t end there for Rashid as the 20-year old delivered with ball to pick 4 crucial wickets. Afghanistan ended the day on a strong positon as the rising stars of the cricketing world are confident about helping their team register maiden victory in the purest format of the game.
