The occasion of Pakistan’s Defence Day on September 6 was recently adorned by the hosting of a cricket match in Muzaffarabad featuring some of the top players in the country. The two teams were led by Azhar Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed and were named the AJK Prime Minister’s XI and PCB Chairman’s XI.
Although Sarfaraz’s team lost by a small margin of 6 runs, he starred with an all-round show. While everyone is aware of Sarfaraz’s explosive batting abilities, he caught the spectators by surprise by rolling his arm over for a few overs.
The 32-year-old’s off-spin bowling earned him 3 wickets as he registered figures of 3/21. While one expects Sarfaraz to continue focusing on his keeping and batting skills, his bowling could be a surprise element to his game.
