Megan Schutt has become the first Australian female cricketer to achieve a one-day international hat-trick after bundling out the West Indies tail in the third and final ODI in Antigua. Schutt completed her second hat-trick in white-ball cricket, making her the first player in women’s cricket to register this record.
Schutt finished with impressive figures of 3/24 from 10 overs including two maidens. Her first hat-trick came in a T20I against India in March 2018. Schutt dismissed Chinelle Henry, Karishma Ramharack and Afy Fetcher in successive deliveries to get her latest hat-trick.
"It was good to actually take it all in the one over. It's kind of luck of the draw, it was the last over of the innings so you're either getting hit for six or getting wickets,” Schutt later said following her team’s win.
