Talented paceman Haris Rauf is one of the finest bowling talents unleashed by the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Despite being a newbie, Haris bowled like he always belonged to this level, bamboozling few top batters of the shortest format of the game to become the joint highest leading wicket-taker for Lahore Qalandars in the last season of Pakistan’s T20 carnival.
Recently, Haris Rauf revealed his inspiration as he named the former South African great Dale Steyn as his bowling hero. The 24-year old said that he always enjoyed watching Steyn bowl and aims to emulate him. Haris, who is confident of making it to the national team, added that Steyn has been his role model right from the time when he started playing cricket.
Moreover, the Rawalpindi born said that he looks to copies Wahab Riaz’s death bowling skills as he delivers lethal yorkers in the backend of the innings. With Sri Lanka expected to send a second string team to tour Pakistan, Haris is one of the candidates who might get their chance to don the green jersey.
