With every game, the charm of the highly celebrated Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is only getting swelled. In the latest encounter of the competition, Jamaica Tallawahs locked horns with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to thrill the fans by unleashing a run feast as the game saw these teams collectively scoring more than 480 runs.
Being invited to bat first, Jamaica took full advantage of the situation and posted a formidable total of 241 runs on the board which was powered by a stunning century from Chris Gayle and a brisk half-century scored by Chadwick Walton. Hammering Patriots bowlers, the Tallawahs looked on course to register their first victory of the tournament.
However, the second innings witnessed a historic run-chase as valiant contributions from top four allowed Patriots to record the highest ever chase in the history of West Indian T20 frenzy. In addition to this, the mammoth batting effort went down as the second highest successful chase in T20 cricket which is only behind Australia’s jaw-dropping batting outing to chase 243 against New Zealand.
