The Northern First XI side will be competing in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy under the leadership of Umar Amin as regular skipper Imad Wasim is not available owing to international commitments. While Northern have a well-balanced squad at their disposal, their exciting pace attack is garnering all the attention ahead of the tournament.
The team is packed with the presence of emerging cricketers ready to make it big on the grand stage. Two of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) prodigies – Haris Rauf and Musa Khan – will be a part of the Northern lineup. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) centrally contracted player Shaheen Shah Afridi will be spearheading the fast bowling stocks.
All of these pacers have the ability to generate high speeds that can trouble any batsman in the world. Shaheen was Pakistan’s most impressive bowler in the recently concluded World Cup while Haris and Musa would be trying hard to break into the national side through their performances.
