The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad for the upcoming series against South Africa which does not feature former captain MS Dhoni. The wicket-keeper batsman’s exclusion from the squad had once again started speculations regarding his future in the team.
Moreover, a recent social media post from current skipper Virat Kohli also made people believe that Dhoni is about to announce his retirement from cricket. The post was basically a tribute to Dhoni from one of his old students in the team.
People then started asking questions to the concerned people on Twitter, but all speculations were finally put to rest when Sakshi Dhoni clarified the air as she said that everything circulating on the social media is nothing but rumors. Dhoni was expected to retire by the end of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 but sources claim that the former captain has delayed his retirement at the request of skipper Virat Kohli.
